This weekend we were in Wausau to help Aiden celebrate his birthday. We received the
birthday invite in the mail a few weeks ago, and it's been on our refrigerator ever since. At
least once a day Owen would walk up, point at the invite and say "birthday, Aiden's house."
I think it's safe to say that he was really looking forward to seeing his cousin.
He loves Aiden and loves spending time with him.
(Side note - Notice the car in each of Owen's hands. I wasn't kidding when I say he
literally runs around all day with one in each hand.)
Most of the weekend was spent doing what we love doing best, hanging out with family.
We lounged with Grandpa Larry,
and met Ryan and Grandpa Jim at the golf course where Owen got to take a little spin
on the golf cart.
And finally, the much anticipated event...Aiden's birthday party. He had it at the YMCA
which Owen loved. We got to spend some time in the pool,
play around in the gym (Grandma's got game!),
And finished with some sweets...my favorite part of course. ;)
Happy Happy Birthday Aiden!! We're so happy we could be here to celebrate with you!!
(Second side note: Not sure if it was the fresh WI air, all the excitement or that I was too
tired to hear him if he cried, but Joe slept through the night for the very first time ever last
night!!!! I'm hoping this is a new trend he's starting. WOO!!)
