Snowy Trick or Treating

With this being the first real snow we got this year, we decided to get a late start to trick or
treating and take some time to play in the snow first.  This way we could wait for Ryan to
get home, and we figured with it being so cold we wouldn't last long outside anyway.  ;)

A quick wardrobe change and they're ready to go!

For the past few years, we've been meeting up with friends to go trick or treating.
The boys have so much fun spending that time with their friends,

and let's be honest...so do I!!  Especially with a cup of spiked apple cider to keep us warm.

Even though it was cold, it was beautiful out!

We go to a section where there are 3 blocks in a row that have "block parties" so they can
block the street off.  It's perfect because no cars are allowed through and the kids can take
off and go on their own.  So much fun!!

We even got a little Halloween love sent to us from WI, which made our day even better!

Happy Halloween everyone!!

Halloween Parades

Today the boys had their Halloween parades at school.

I started watching Miles at Pilgrim.  It was FREEZING and rainy/snowy, so they decided to have it indoors.  I mean, how cute is he????

I think two things are certain....this kid was excited and he really likes waving!

Later that day, Miles and I went to watch the older boys in their school parade.  We started helping out in Joe's class getting all the kids into their costumes.

Then went outside to watch the parade.  It was so incredibly cold and wet from the snow,
but the boys didn't seem to mind.

After the parade, Miles and I went up to help out in Owen's class for his Halloween party.

So thankful to be able to participate in these fun moments with them.

Anniversary Mug

9 years ago today, I married the most kind, thoughtful, loving, helpful, fun (clearly the list
goes on) man.  Sure flowers are pretty and jewelry is always nice, but I bet there aren't a lot
of wives who get to drink their morning coffee out of a mug like this.  😂

Thanks for the kind, thoughtful, loving gift Ryan!!  I love you even bigger than space!!

Playground Buddies

It's always fun to watch the little siblings on the playground at Longfellow.  Last year before
Joe was in Kindergarten, he had a little posse that he would always play with while we
waited for Owen.  And now Miles has the same.  Whether it's "cousin Will", "Other Will"
or Jamie, he always has friends to keep him company.

Pumpkin Patch - 2019 Edition

Today we did the 2nd of my two favorite things to do in Fall....the pumpkin patch!!  What's
funny is we don't even pick pumpkins when we go.  I mean why pay $20 for a pumpkin
when you can pay a quarter of that at Coscto?  ;)  But there's so much other stuff for the
kids to do and they love it!  Plus we need to get our annual giant rocking chair picture.

This year we tried the other Goebbert's location.  It was about the same distance away, but
there was a lot more to do, and it was all included in the one price.  The train ride, jumping
pillow, haunted house, etc....they could do whatever they wanted.  They even encouraged
me to jump on the jumping pillow with the kids, which automatically added extra points in my
book.  :)  And we made sure Peter the Pumpkin eating dinosaur was here,
because he is a must see, especially for Joe.

This year we invited the Mathis' to meet us there so the kids had friends to play with.
They had such a great time together!

Once again, the pumpkin patch didn't disappoint.  Happy Fall!
