Disney Day 1 - Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Today was a long day full of excitement.  We were up at 5:40AM so we could get to the
airport for our 8:50AM flight.  This was Ryan's and my first time using TSA precheck, and it
was amazing!  No waiting in lines, no taking off everyone's shoes, no taking computers and
liquids out of our carry on bags.  We just put our bags on the conveyor belts and walked
through.  It was quick, way less stressful and gave us plenty of time to eat breakfast
and check out the airplanes.

I was a little nervous about the flight.  It was Miles' first time on a plane, Joe's 2nd and
Owen's 3rd.  My carry on bag was overflowing with snacks, movies and games.  I knew
Owen and Joe would have no problem keeping busy, but Miles was the wild card.  He is in
the stage right now where all he wants to do is be moving around.  If he doesn't want to be
held anymore you basically have to wrestle with him to keep him in your arms.  Not the
greatest situation for the close quarters of a plane.  He actually did pretty well though.
He started out watching a movie on his tablet and then eventually, after a little wrestling,
fell asleep in my arms for the last hour of the flight.

Once we landed we headed straight to Disney's Magical Express bus.  It's great!  They pick
up our luggage from the baggage claim and take it straight to our hotel, so we don't have to
worry about any of it.  We simply got on our bus and showed up at our hotel 45 minutes
later.  After the long plane ride Miles was not thrilled to be stuck in one place again,
but thankfully they played Disney cartoons which helped.

We showed up at the hotel and it was beautiful, just as I imagined.  We decided to splurge
this year and stay at the Polynesian.  It's a deluxe resort right on the monorail.  Last time we
were at Disney the bus rides to and from our hotel were such a pain.  Not only was it
annoying juggling the strollers and kids onto the bus every time we wanted to go anywhere,
but it took a lot of time out of our day too.  This way we were only a monorail ride away from
both Magic Kindgdom and Epcot.  And once in Epcot, we could walk to Hollywood Studios if
we really wanted to.  The convenience was well worth the extra money we spent.  And the
hotel itself was amazing.  It really felt like we were in Hawaii.

It was a long morning full of car, train, plane and bus rides, but we're finally here...yay!!
Let the magic begin!!
