Visits to Santa

This weekend we wanted to take the boys to visit Santa.  Little did we know we would see
him twice in one day.  The first sighting was on Marion St. in downtown Oak Park.
We were in the area for the horse drawn sleigh rides they were doing that day,

and saw the big man walking down the street, so we stopped to say hello.
He was a very impressive Santa.

After two failed trips to North Riverside Mall over the last week, a good Santa has proven
to be difficult to find this year.  But since Joe didn't feel like cooperating and Miles was
asleep in his carrier, we continued with our original plan to go visit Santa in
Scoville Square and get the obligatory Santa photo.

Like I said, an authentic looking Santa is not easy to find.  Unlike the Hispanic Santa at
North Riverside who didn't even ask the boys what they wanted for Christmas, this Santa
was at least friendly...he just looked a little creepy.  The boys didn't seem to mind though.
They let them know what they wanted, smiled for a picture, and just like that our
annual Santa photo is complete.  Check!
