We've been working on potty training Joe. Staying dry has been pretty easy for him. We've
hardly had any accidents since we started and he's done a good job of telling us when he
has to go. It's #2 that has proved a little more difficult. For whatever reason he doesn't like
going poop on the potty. I ordered him a small potty thinking he would feel more
comfortable with his feet on the ground. He loves his new potty, but unfortunately it wasn't
the answer to our problem. Our theory is it takes him a little longer to go, so it makes it hard
for him to sit on the potty that long without getting frustrated. Thus began potty story time.
If I think Joe has to go, I'll go sit in our teeny, powder room size bathroom and read stories
to him. We've still had more accidents than success, but each time he poops in the potty it
feels like a huge win! I'm hoping the more times he does it, the easier it will get.
Let's go buddy! You can do this!!
