Happy 3 Months!!

Joe turned 3 months old today..yay!!

Weight - 14 lbs 9 oz
Height - 24.25 inches

He is doing great!  He is still sleeping through the night which is one of the biggest positives.
I feed him for the last time around 9:30PM, then we go to sleep and he'll sleep
until anywhere between 6:00 and 8:00AM.  It is WONDERFUL!!

He is the happiest right after he wakes up or after he eats.  He smiles like crazy now
and has the biggest, goofiest grin ever.  He loves when and I talk to him and loves it
even more when I sing to him.  His face lights up and he rewards my
average at best singing with huge smiles.

He's also become a lot more interested and entertained with his activity mat.  He lays
underneath the toys and his little arms and legs go into overdrive swatting and kicking
away.  He even tolerates tummy time for a few minutes at a time which is something
Owen was never too fond of.  I think it is the nice new tummy time pillow
Grandma and Grandpa got him for Christmas. :)

One of the things Joe is not too fond of is his car seat.  Fortunately he does really well on
our longer car trips to WI, but a simple trip to Costco adds about 10 gray hairs to my
head if he's not sleeping.  Every time the car stops he gets upset and starts screaming.
Ryan found that when you punch on the gas he quiets down.  So if you ever see a black
Dodge Durango circling the parking lot flooring it, then slowing down, then flooring it,
then slowing down, don't call the police.  It's just Ryan trying to keep Joe calm in the car
while I'm inside grabbing a supersized case of diapers.

The only other time Joe really gets upset is when he is overtired and needs to fall asleep.
Most nights we can bet on a little bit of a fussy time after he eats dinner and wants to take
a little snooze before we go to bed for the night.  A few laps around the kitchen
can normally do the trick and put him to sleep.  It gets a little frustrating, but on a positive
note, it adds the last few steps I need to hit my 10,000 step goal on my Fitbit.  ;)

With all things considered, Joe is an amazing little guy.  He sleeps wonderfully,
eats wonderfully, and for the most part is a happy baby.  There are few things better
than watching how genuinely happy he gets to talk to us, and I'm looking forward
to sharing the million more smiles to come.
