Despite our last experience with the cooking class, I decided to give it another shot.
I knew they would be in the kitchen today, as opposed to outside in the greenhouse like they were last time. I also figured they would have more hands on time preparing the snack, instead of it being a demonstration like the last one was. Basically, today's class was what I was expecting the last time we came, so I was thankful we gave it another try.
Today's menu - Sesame Noodles.
They each got their very own "choppers" and chopped up all of the veggies for the recipe.
Next they squeezed out some lime juice, added the finishing touches,
then most importantly, gave their creation a try.
Joe barely put it to his mouth and decided he wanted nothing to do with it. Owen did a little better and had a few bites before giving it his final seal of disapproval. Despite the snack not going over real well with the boys, the class was a lot of fun. It makes me want to buy a few of our own "choppers" to have at home so the boys can help me out with dinner sometimes. Maybe if they were the ones making it they would be more apt to eat it.
One can hope anyway. ;)
