Tonight was the wedding rehearsal. Since the wedding is going to be at the Country Club, it
was totally fitting that the rehearsal dinner be a pool party. While we were getting ready to
go, my Aunt Diane came to visit with Miles for a little bit, thus beginning their love story
(more to come on this later).

My sisters and I are all standing up in the wedding, and my parents were also needed for
the rehearsal, so it left the younger kids a little more unsupervised than normal. No big
deal, they can fend for themselves, right? Wrong! As I stood there at the end of the line of
bridesmaids I watched as Owen and Joe climbed into a golf cart. They pretended like they
were driving the cart. No problem. Wrong again! All of a sudden Owen hit the gas and the
golf cart started up. It took me no more than 5 seconds to run from my place in line to that
cart. From that point on, we decided it was best if we removed all the keys from the carts.
Sounds easy enough, but with a wedding set on a golf course there is an endless supply
of golf carts everywhere you turn (more to come on this later too).
After running through the rehearsal it was time for the pool party.
And no pool party is complete without a diving competition, at the request of the groom.
Even Owen got in on the action.
While the competitive side of me was itching to get out there and show those boys up with
a backflip or perhaps a one and a half, I decided to stay dry and hang with Miles.
I let Sarah get in and represent the ladies of the family.
It was a great night and a really fun way to start the festivities.
