I LOVE the holidays!! Love as in I started listening to Christmas music a week before
Thanksgiving because I love how festive it makes me feel. I love everything about the
holidays. But the thing I love the most is spending time with our family.
We started the festivities spending Thanksgiving in Chicago with Ryan's side of the family.
Tim and Val hosted their very first Thanksgiving and it was a success.
Then on Friday we drove to WI to see my family. We had such a great time at the indoor
waterpark last year during Christmas, that we decided to make a return trip. SO FUN!!
Owen was so excited. He would run up the stairs and practically jump right down the slide.
And Joe was content making lap after lap on the lazy river. He even fell asleep!
On Saturday it was time to celebrate Ellie's first birthday. What a cutie!
Hannah did a "Pretty in Pink" party and it was fabulous! I was truly impressed with all
of the work she put in and how adorable everything turned out.
Ellie made out well, but her most special gift was one from my mom. My Grandma used to
sew Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. Before she stopped making them she made one and
gave it to my mom to give to her first granddaughter. Ellie you are one lucky little lady.
After the party, the kids decided to take advantage of the snow.
We are truly blessed to have such a great family and I am thankful for them every single day. And now only a little over 3 weeks until Christmas!! :)
