The weather this summer has been great, so we've been spending a lot of time outside.
During Joe's morning nap, you can typically find Owen and I out in the backyard
keeping busy. He loves playing tee ball.
Truth be told, he is amazing for a 2 year old. He can even hit the ball if we pitch it to
him which, although I may be biased, is super impressive!! And yes, you're seeing
that correctly, he is a switch hitter.
A day outside is not complete if we don't find a few swords to play with.
One of his newer obsessions is looking for bugs.
Now I on the other hand want nothing to do with bugs, so when he shows me his creatures,
I have to put on my best "I'm super excited, not totally grossed out" face.
After we play in the backyard for awhile, Owen likes to take his bike out for a spin.
What's great is it has a secret storage spot for his other obsession, his cars.
Once he gets tired of the bike, he does what he does best....runs!
The cars are still tightly gripped in his hands of course. In fact it's rare these days
that you find Owen walking around without at least one car in tote.
Overall a pretty impressive list of activities for a single nap if I do say so myself.
We're loving this mild summer!!
