New Kitchen

Owen's birthday present has arrived!!

Yes, he now has his very own kitchen.
He loves it!!  I love it too because it keeps him so busy.

His favorite part of the whole thing is the little frying pan
that he now carries with him wherever he goes.

Up the stairs,

Down the hallway to visit Marley,

Between that and his "lovey" there is always something along for the ride.

Thanks for the awesome birthday present Grandma!!
We love you!!

ND Forever

Though the season didn't end quite the way Ryan wanted it to,
Owen's allegiance still lies with Notre Dame.

Cleaning Crew

Going outside is not quite as appealing when it is cold out,
so Owen and I have been trying to keep ourselves busy indoors.

Today he thought he would help me out around the kitchen.

First he spent nearly an hour rearranging my tupperware cupboard.

Then he decided it was time to take our Christmas cards down (funnel still in hand).

Thanks for all of your hard work little buddy.
Maybe tomorrow we can work on mopping the floors.
We can attach some rags to you knees and the floor will be clean in no time
with the amount of crawling you do in one day.  ;)

Little Chef

This afternoon we went over to Owen's friend Ava's house for a play date.
She got a new little kitchen for her birthday and Owen is in love with it.

It kept him busy for quite awhile.  When he wasn't standing up at the kitchen,
he was crawling around carrying one of the silver metal pots with him.

Even Graham joined in on the fun, helping Owen cook up a masterpiece.

Looks like a new kitchen for Owen might be a very worthwhile investment.  :)

The Gate is Lifted

Anyone who knows me well knows that since Owen came along,
Marley quickly became second favorite of the house.
In fact typically Owen and Marley are completely separated because now that Owen
is crawling all over the place, it is nice for them both to have their own spaces.

Owen loves to go to the gate and watch Marley, while Marley licks his
little fingers through the holes.

But every now and then, when I'm feeling like Marley needs some company,
I give Owen and Marley their own special bonding time.
Marley generally keeps to herself, with the exception of a few sniffs here and there.

But Owen LOVES it.  He just sits and watches her with the biggest smile on his face.
Marley, no matter how frustrated I may get at you, you are still a great little dog
and Owen loves you already!
